Treating the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
Meet Kathia
Background
Kathia (she/her) moved to the United States from São Paulo, Brazil in 2001. Her desire to help people led to a degree in human development from Cornell University and several years working with the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma.
After undergoing acupuncture treatment herself, Kathia realized that healing the physical body can be just as powerful as healing the mind. She pivoted her career and received a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. She is licensed by the Massachusetts board of medicine and licensed nationally by NCCAOM.
Currently
Kathia has experience treating a variety of conditions with a focus on reproductive health, emotional disorders, pain conditions, and cancer recovery. She puts a special emphasis on continuing education in her field, participating in research studies, and treating a wide variety of people with different backgrounds.
Her diverse experiences have led to a holistic knowledge base and skills, and allow her to create an environment where all feel welcome and cared for regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality.
Outside of work, Kathia enjoys pottery, dancing, reading novels, and spending time with her family and friends. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese with a working knowledge of French.
Kathia currently accepts BCBS, Harvard Pilgrim, MGBHP, United Health, Tufts, Aetna and Cigna.

Lace (they/them) graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture at MCPHS in May of 2025 with a Master's degree in acupuncture. They completed their board exams in July 2025 after interning at the NESA Treatment Center and Cambridge Health Alliance during their final year of school. Meet Annie
